ID Proposal Drawing

Our industrial design team will turn the concept into 2D and 3D drawings, and digital mockups and are generated for review. Client receives drawings and either approve them for Prototyping, or request additional changes to the design

Changes

The design is modified and re-cycles through this phase

Development

Our experienced mechanical and electrical engineers analyze the completed design and procure parts for prototyping

Client Approval

We ship the completed sample to customer for review.

Electrical Validation Testing

EVT

Engineering Validation Test: Can we build several units that function as expected, meeting all functional requirements?

Mechanical

CNC Sample is created

Electrical

Electrical parts are procured

Testing

After assembling the samples, we test using our standard procedures as well as any special requirements based off of the specification or use case.

Client Review

We review the sample see how the product can be improved. These ideas are brought to the customer and we discuss the impact on design or cost.

Changes

Any modifications to the design are added, and the design re-cycles or moves forward.

Design Validation Testing

DVT 

Can we build a lot of units that function as expected and look great, meeting all functional requirement and cosmetic/appearance requirements?

Mechanical

Tooled Sample is created

Electrical

Electrical parts are procured

Testing

Tests such as drop testing, vibration testing and thermal testing is conducted in addition to function testing.

Client Review

We review the sample see how the product can be improved. Tooling is confirmed at this stage.

Changes

Any modifications to the design are added, and the design re-cycles or moves forward.

Production Validation Testing

PVT  

Can we build many units that that function as expected, look great, and manufactured quickly and easily every time, meeting all functional requirements, cosmetic/appearance requirements, with great manufacturability metrics, i.e. process capabilities, first pass yield, rolling throughput yield?

Procurement & Sourcing Testing

Tests to ensure long lifetime is conducted such as burn in testing.

Client Review

We review the product see how the product can be improved for manufacturability.

Changes

Any modifications to the design are added, and the design re-cycles or moves forward.
